Convenience as a real value and a widespread means for the BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The BIM system represents a real revolution in the building industry. Any change to this way of working would lead to a certain degree of risk and responsibility. What could therefore convince any stakeholder of this sector to adopt changes? \u201cConvenience\u201d seems to be right answer to this matter.<\/p>\n

We have already presented the case to professionals and companies (How to adopt BIM in a professional studio or organization<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s go through the case considering our clients\u2019 point of view.<\/p>\n

Public and private clients as starting point of the production chain embodies, as a matter of facts, the real engine of the process.<\/p>\n

The deep crisis lately faced and the feeling of a transitional phase is leading to experiment new methods and production processes.<\/p>\n

BIM is, despite this negative tendency, an interesting solution to meet the clients\u2019 expectations offering the best advantages once adopted.<\/p>\n

The efficient aspects of this way of working are possible and can be noted already at the planning and project configuration stages. Establishing a spatial analysis, typical of this phase, through the calculation of the volume of the building to be implemented (see figure 1) or its placement in an urban environment (see figures 2 and 3) it is an operation that can be easily carried on in the BIM context.<\/p>\n

Similarly an analysis of the functional distribution of the environments\/areas can instantly be run through the chromatic definition derived from the typing of the project elements (see figure 4).<\/p>\n

It is possible to \u201cexplore\u201d the rooms being planned already during the theoretical stage by using the functions typical of the virtual reality. This way allowing an immediate response for the possible adjustments to be made and a simple but efficient interpretation of the project for the final users (which aren\u2019t technicians) as well.
